Cammie Morgan may have a genius IQ and attend the best school in the country, but as she starts the spring semester of her sophomore year there are a lot of things she doesn't know. Like will her ex-boyfriend even remember she exists? And how much trouble did she really get in last semester? And, most of all, exactly why is her mother acting so strangely? All Cammie wants is a nice, normal semester, but she's about to learn her greatest lesson yet—that when you go to a school for spies, nothing is ever as it seems.

After the upsetting ending of the first book, Cammie faces the consequences of her actions and tries to move on with her life, confused about her feelings for Josh. Does her ex-boyfriend remember what happened last semester? Does he want to be with her again? Will she forget about him? The start of a new school year marks the reunion of four close friends, leaving us wondering what complications they will run into next. Another blindingly exciting novel from Ally Carter!

Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy is probably my favourite novel of the series. There are so many things I could say but I've got just five words for you: Boys Come To The School. Yes, you read that correctly. Trained boys come to this all girls' school…and they might be better than our girls. *gasp* The opening of the novel has our hearts racing as the girls do a practical assessment for their Covert Operations class. They're let loose at a museum and must find their way to a monument by 5pm without being tailed by the countless Operatives stationed around the area. Somewhere along the way, Cammie runs into a gorgeous Zach. Sparks fly, anger runs amuck…. Be prepared for loads of sexual tension, teasing, avoidance and confusion. I loved seeing Cammie's attempts at outwitting Zach - epic battle of the sexes! These two are absolutely amazing together and I think you'll love them both very very much. *swoons*

An air of mystery surrounds this group of boys because they're not like anyone the girls have ever seen before. They're very secretive and so, of course, Cammie just has to go digging.  Strange things have been happening ever since the boys arrived; code blacks, security breaches, shady stalkers, suspicious conversations... You'll be kept guessing throughout the entire novel, trying to figure out who the boys really are and what they're up to. Since I've read all of these books already, I know the secret and let's just say it's all very gasp-worthy!

The final chapters of this novel are oh so exciting. No spoilers here, but you just wait! Carter always manages to promise her readers a good time, and I promise you that a permanent smile will be plastered across your face while reading this. Enjoy!
