His vampire girlfriend might have brought him back to life, but he's never felt more out of control. There's a darkness within him, something taking over…changing him. Worse, because he was meant to die, death now stalks him at every turn. Any day could be his last. Once upon a time, the three souls trapped inside his head could have helped him. He could have protected himself. But as the darkness grows stronger, the souls grow weaker—just like his girlfriend. The more vampire Aden becomes, the more human Victoria becomes, until everything they know and love is threatened. Life couldn't get any worse. Could it?

Ever read a book and felt as if you couldn't take a breath or take your eyes away from the page for fear of missing something? Twisted is very fast-paced and is action scene after action scene. Alternating narrators not only maintain our interest throughout novel but also heighten our anticipation for more of a particular storyline. After Aden's vampire girlfriend, Victoria, drained him of his own blood to turn him into a vampire, some of their abilities transferred fully to the other and have left us with two completely different characters. Meanwhile, werewolf Riley is on a quest to find Mary Ann, who's run away to stop herself from hurting those she loves with her draining ability. It'll be hard for you not to enjoy Twisted with its exciting storylines and brilliant characters!
"Will you give it a rest? You’ve got a funny feeling in your invisible pants and the only way to fix you is for Victoria to undress. We know!" Julian snapped. "Why don’t you do our boy Aden a solid and stop trying to play Naughty Shower Time with his girlfriend?" Victoria clawed at her ears, trying to reach the souls and finally kill them.
Riley and Mary Ann are as cute as ever. Their relationship is truly adorable and their love entirely genuine. This couple will make you laugh, cry, and launch a few slaps too. At times I felt like abandoning Aden's life altogether and simply spending the whole novel with these two, but as the novel progresses your interest will be split evenly between the two couples as their stories tangle you in their complicated webs. Mary Ann and Riley largely focus on their relationship in this novel, as well as trying to find a way to deal with Mary Ann's ability. On the other hand, Aden is determined to take his place as a vampire king and find out the truth about this parents and souls. While many storylines are addressed and explored, these all connect together in one way or another to prepare us for the final book.
Despite the threat, he hugged her tight, exactly as he’d done when they were younger and other vampires refused to play with her. Because she was a daughter of Vlad the Impaler, every one had feared punishment if she were hurt—or worse—on their watch. But not Riley. Never Riley. He was like the brother she had always wanted, her comforter and her shield.
I've kept this review short for a reason. Twisted is very plot-centric and it will do no good for me to ruin the plentiful surprises for you. Filled with passion and suspense, this novel will delight fans of the series and if you've yet to delve into this magical world, get to it! The conclusion is shocking and will have you clambering for the fourth and final book. Hold onto your seats!

Don't you just love the cover? Yay, we get to see what Aden and Victoria look like! ;)
