Cammie Morgan has a cover for every occasion. As a spy-in-training, aliases, phony passports and fake IDs are a means of survival. But what happens when the ghosts of her past see through her flawless fa├žade? In her junior year at Gallagher Academy, Cammie continues to flirt with danger. When a national political convention turns into a trap, she is forced to lose her cover to save her best friend Macey - a major political target - from being kidnapped. But are the kidnappers political extremists or something more sinister? And why has Zach, Cammie's mysterious (and totally hot) crush, suddenly returned? With the help of an ex-Gallagher Girl, Cammie and her friends are determined to hunt down the group that threatens to tear their secret sisterhood apart. This time it's personal.

Once again, Ally Carter treats us to a magnificent read. We are forever guessing who the enemies are and what motives they have. Filled with twists and heart-stopping moments, Don't Judge A Girl By Her Cover is as mysterious and action-packed as things get!

When a political convention ends in a kidnapping attempt, Cammie's beliefs about her life and training are turned upside down. Pair that with Zach's mysterious appearances here and there, and we have a book that will mess with our brains. I really enjoyed seeing outside forces begin to penetrate Cammie's safe little bubble at Gallagher Academy. It made the novel seem more realistic and brought a sense of maturity and seriousness to it, as opposed to the more lighthearted (but still amazing) previous novels. In saying that, I must admit I missed the upbeat characters we're used to. With the world's eyes on them and with kidnappers milling about, the girls are restrained and lack their usual freedom. Cammie doesn't seem like herself when she isn't misbehaving!

What can we excited about? Well...Cammie's aunt, Abby, comes to Gallagher Academy to act as Macey's personal bodyguard. They couldn't just let a civilian into the place, you know! I loved seeing an older Gallagher Girl and how this sisterhood is truly for life. Abby is one of those authoritative figures with a streak of naughty, so she and her niece get along perfectly. Abby has a little secret though...can you guess what it is?

Despite the change from the series' usual mood, this novel was still enjoyable. It's fast-paced and will keep you thoroughly entertained with all of the different storylines from the previous books coming into play. Questions are answered…new ones are posed… It's a never-ending circle!
How did we find this book, GG fans? Anyone planning on finally beginning this series now? ;)
