In the final installment of the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy, Grace is still a wolf after being turned in the previous book. After many tough complications and unfortunate circumstances, she manages to find her way back to Sam, the love of her life. Meanwhile, Isabel is still furious at Cole for refusing to sleep with her. The characters are stronger than ever before in Forever and it is an action-packed book, bound to have you on the edge of your seat in anticipation and fear.
With Isabel's father planning to murder all of the wolves in Mercy Falls, Cole takes it upon himself to experiment in order to find cures. He wants to be able to turn Grace back into a human, as well as force humans to transform into wolves. Their plan depend on him and they're all doomed if his vials of chemicals don't work. As always, Maggie drives us completely insane with worry. She loves to make us yell, "Oh no, (insert name)'s going to die!!" and she certainly does not hold back in this book. My heart stopped a few times whilst reading this and I'm sure you'll be shocked at the ending. You've never seen twists like this. Heart attack rates went up this month.
I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Forever is my favourite novel out of the three and contains everything that you enjoyed in the first two plus a little more. While the ending was left quite open for readers to come to their own conclusions, I felt that it was suitable for this series, which is based on chance, possibility and fate. A line or two on the final page still leaves me scratching my head but I'm sure I'll come to a logical explanation soon. I really will miss this series because Sam and Grace are one of the sweetest couples in YA fiction. This series isn't all about smiles and light-heartedness, but it sure does have the ability to make you clutch your heart in both happiness and in sadness.
Who's sad that this series is over? *sighs* No more sweet Sammy wolf. On the other hand, I am absolutely ecstatic about Maggie' new series, The Scorpio Races. Remember when there was no summary and it was all a big mystery? Now we've got a summary and an excerpt! *squeals*
